What is an "Athens Achiever?"
A student who strives to improve and keep up their grades, while also making a positive contribution to the classroom learning environment.
Examples of Athens Achievers include students who:
Show academic advancement by improving grades
Continue academic achievement by keeping grades up
Contribute regularly to classroom discussions
Exhibit positive, respectful behavior to others at all time
Demonstrate grit and determination
Are resilient and persevere
How YOU Can Support This Program?
Teachers, nominate of your students as your Athens Achiever of the Month. Consideration should include students at ALL academic levels.
Parents:
Encourage your student to ask questions during class discussions and to get help if they need it. Have them join - or start - a student group. Help them to be engaged in their education.
Be involved in your student's education. Familiarize yourself with your student's class websites. Show interest in their assignments and what they are studying in class. Check PowerSchool weekly and discuss any concerns with your student or their teachers.
